Capturing The Built Environment

Denver's 17th Avenue for Aimco Real Estate and Tryba Architects

We used a unique setup for this shot to get the camera up higher, and somewhat over traffic, but yet still stable enough to allow for along exposure of the traffic below. The camera was lifted up on a c-stand about 10ft high with a weighted cross bar extending about 3ft over the road. This allowed us to stay on the sidewalk, but get the camera out just a bit to see down towards Union Station. I did have to assist watch for buses though because we weren't high-enough to avoid potentially clipping them.

See below for some in use examples of this images and some of our others for Aimco Real Estate.

Projects We Loved To 📸 ❤️

Here in the month of February, we’re taking a look back at a few projects we loved working on last year -

It's hard to beat the smell of fresh cut grass, beautiful early morning light, and capturing a subject as prestigious as the historic Denver Country Club. We had a great time working with Tryba Architects on their master planning effort at the DCC that included a wide range of aerial and ground based images of the property to showcase it’s beauty and help in the discovery and planning of a revitalized clubhouse area.

Mercantile Square

We had a great time working with Tryba Architects to tell the story of their AIA Colorado 25 Year Award Winning project.

Boiler Residence

A completely unique and stunning residence that we had the captured exteriors for Kemberlin Architecture this year.  See the featured project page here - Boiler Residence

Mirada Fine Art

A long time client of ours, Mirada Fine Art, just recently moved to a new downtown Denver location and asked us to photograph their new space!

Fremont Residences / Courtyard and Pool

Looking back at some past projects, here’s a fun and challenging project we got to work on; The Fremont Apartment Residences in Aurora, Colorado in September of last year for Tryba Architects. We’ll showcase some more images later, but here’s one of my favorites from that evening -

While we were capturing several other views of the beautiful inner courtyard and pool area down below, we positioned a remote camera on the rooftop. Setup on a small tripod and triggered with an intervalometer to capture additional images at the same time.

Houston Commercial Development

We’ve been busy these past few weeks capturing this beautiful and ever growing development in the North Houston area called City Place!

Utilizing all of our key production services from both high (helicopter @~1500ft AGL) and low elevation aerial (drones @>400ft AGL) to capture video. We also captured on-site motion time-lapses, events, and lifestyle imagery.
