The north Denver area’s of Louisville, Superior, and Lafayette are beautiful mix of rolling grasslands and Cottonwood lined creeks that sit up against foothills of the Rocky Mountains. I like so many others, was devastated to hear about the fires as they swept through the area leaving so many families with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
I gathered a collection of aerial images I shot a few years ago for another project in the area. They show the stunning beauty and natural terrain of those communities before the Marshall Fire ran through. As devastating and tragic as this fire has been for the community, I’m sure like all the nature around it they too will grow back.
